Self-study CD Computer Requirements...
The best part of the Self-study program is that anyone can use it - computer skills are not necessary. Listed below are the hardware and software requirements and recommendations.
Minimum System Requirements
For the Self-Study CD course option, you will need a PC that meets the following minimum specifications to use the Becker applications:
- Windows®/2000/XP*/Vista (32-bit versions only)
- Pentium II 300 MHz processor or faster
- 128MB RAM or greater (256MB highly recommended)
- Hard drive with 125 MB or more free space (to copy optional PassMaster files you will need an additional 250 MB of space) and additional 70 MB of hard drive disk space is required to install QuickTime if you do not have QuickTime already installed
- Video card capable of 1024 x 768 resolution and 16-bit color or more
- A sound card and speakers
- 8x speed CD/DVD Rom drive or greater
- To print your TFCH report, a Windows compatible printer is required
- Administrative Level access is required to activate and properly install your program
- You must have access to the internet at some point (not necessarily on the computer with the software) to activate the software
Note: these applications have been designed for the Microsoft® Windows operating system. Running the application under any other operating system is NOT supported
* Support for Windows 98SE and Windows Millennium Edition (ME)
Although Windows 98SE/ME operating systems are no longer supported by Microsoft, the Becker applications normally run successfully under these operating systems. However, we will not be able to provide support for running the software under Windows 98 or ME. Furthermore, the Course CD only includes version 7 of Apple QuickTime drivers, which is the only version we are authorized to distribute. However, QuickTime 7 will not install on these operating systems. If you do not have QuickTime already installed on your computer, you must find an earlier version of QuickTime to install in order to view the lectures. Please check the Apple QuickTime website at http://www.apple.com/quicktime for more information.
